We are also dedicated to helping as many animals as we can to find responsible permanent pet homes. On our site you will see listed many organizations that offer help to pets and owners alike. We advocate adoptions of animals from rescue and animal shelters. We encourage everyone to donate when you can to these organizations to help the animals and ease the burden. The list of organizations for rescue and animal shelters, as it grows, will be many. If you yourself knows of an organization that you would like added please email the link to myself or one of the other moderators so we may add it to our links page. Please be advised that it is hard to check out every site on the internet for it legitimacy, so we ask that before you do donate to such an organization, please check it out for yourself.  

We understand that sometimes a circumstance may arise that every pet owner experiences and we want to be there to offer reassurance, advice, and understanding. Please be aware that we are not vets and it is illegal for anyone to diagnose an animals injury, illness, or other medical problem over the internet. We ask that if your pet is seriously ill or injured that you immediately contact your vet. DO NOT WAIT for us to answer a question. Your pets life may depend on it.

 Except for the fish forum, no medicine is to be prescribed for the treatment of any animal and if the condition seems to be, in our honest opinion, life threatening in any way you will be advised to seek immediate medical attention from your vet.

We cannot control the actions of the petowners, or the actions of anyone who reads the advice in our column therefore we ask that if your pet is in harm, severe pain, or bleeding, or is obviously ill, Please call or take it to the vet immediatly.
